Paolla (PK) Jordan says “Serving others is a blessing!” PK is a Mediation Advisory Board Member for Lakewood University. She meets quarterly with the board to discuss the trends and shares insight on the growing demands of mediation clients in need of affordable legal services.
As a mediator coach with “Your Mediator Coach” also known as “YMC”, PK works hard with her new mediator colleagues around the United States as their mediator coach. Pk has the drive to help those around her to succeed and for those to embrace their hidden talents with confidence. Pk helps her colleagues understand what their hidden talents are and how to use them to serve others in their mediation practice. It is what she does!
Over the years, Pk has had the good fortune of working with various mentors. She has learned the value and importance of having a coach/mentor over the years. Her success did not happen overnight, but over 30 years. Pk has endured a lot of challenges in her personal and professional life, but in every situation, she looked for the silver lining. Others have described PK as “uniquely gifted for understanding each client’s needs” and “a creator of solutions for us that help us resolve our matters.” Pk can provide a blueprint to help you in your mediation practice. Pk is uniquely qualified to help you in your mediation practice as described below:
PK has been a business owner and contract negotiator for over 30 years in Arizona and Oregon. PK has extensive knowledge in real estate that covers farms, ranches, large track land sales, water rights, land locking, easement negotiations, real estate brokerage, and property management. She is a real estate educator, a seminar promoter, a public speaker, fluent in Spanish, and much more.
Pk’s approach to negotiations with families or businesses is unique and effective. Her areas of practice include high conflict divorce, divorce with a business, small business disputes, special needs families, education advocate, commercial lease negotiator, and a vast understanding of litigation from personal experience.
It was PK’s divorce in 2005 that gave her the passion to do what she does today. PK was a pro se litigant for 5 years after she ran out of money for attorney fees. As a pro se, she encountered a tremendous amount of obstacles in protecting her children regarding medical, educational, and religious rights. Her case went to the appeals court (Jordan v. Rea, 212 P. 3d 919 – Ariz: Court of Appeals, 1st Div., Dept. A 2009) and the judge's decision was overturned. Her precedent case continues to help many families in Arizona today. Unfortunately, over many years, PK had to deal with criminal court, family court, forensic audit, piercing the corporate veil, CPS, and police involvement to protect her children. When Pk says, “I get it” or “I have been in your shoes”, she truly does mean it.
Pk works with a great team of mediators at East Valley Mediator who share the same passion for serving families and business owners.
When PK is not mediating with clients, she enjoys spending time with her family. She is married and has two children. She not only loves soccer but coached U-12 soccer boys for 3 years. Pk and her husband believe that serving familiies in our community is vital. They served families in their community for 6.5 years in the Divorce Care support group.
She finds fulfillment in serving families in her community through the Laloboy Foundation by providing free counseling stipends and advocating for law change (Laloboy Act HB2459, March 17, 2021) by protecting children. It takes a village to raise today’s children. She believes serving families is an honor and wouldn't trade it for the world!
